Have you ever written a word repetitively for hours on end that it starts to look really strange, even misspelled? That's how much I have been doodling 'Blossom Vintage'. The more I doodled, the more I realized how extremely important a logo is. If you're like me, I totally make my first impression of stores from their signs/logo. Typography is an art form in itself and I truly appreciate a well designed logo. Yes, we all know that what's inside matters more, but its so easy to pass a store if it doesn't catch your eye or even clicking on a link/image that gives you an instant attraction.
Heres a few of my doodles & the progress Blossom Vintage went through:
This experience even pushed me to learn how to turn sketches into vector art. I didn't even know what vector art was before diving into all this, but with the help of friends, the magic of youtube videos & blogs, I turned my sketches into graphic designs! I appreciate logos in a totally different way now that I had the chance to create my own. I am SO happy with my designs and the fact that I sketched it myself gives it that extra love & specialness Blossom deserves.
If you ever want to do the same, here are some blogs that helped me understand how to use Illustrator & photoshop to create Blossom's new designs!
With perseverance, there's no way to go but up.
Keep Blooming,
J

Great post!- I'm ready to TRY to create some vector art now. I love seeing the process of your shop branding!
