There are three reasons why I love road trips. One, diner food. Two, small towns & their thrift stores. Three, the endless scenery. I always feel so tiny whenever I'm staring out the window & hungry when passing by a hole-in-the-wall diner.

Big Sur was just as magnificent as I remembered. The drive is what gets my heart thumping- anticipating the breathtaking beauty that lies ahead every curve of the road. We ended the day laying out on Pheifer Beach, visiting the Henry Miller Library, & sleeping in a hammock. Big Sur always ends up as romantic as it sounds, even if its just with your best girl friend.

I fell in love with a small town called Yreka. Its on the Northern tip of California just past San Francisco & its a gem of a town. It was by chance that we got off on an exit that led us into Yreka. It was a ghost town yet alive with charm. We stumbled on an abandoned train station from the 1900s & it was absolutely stunning.

Keep Blooming,
J.

Oh goodness. I did that drive when I moved from southern California/Long Beach to Portland many years ago! These images tug at my heart strings.
